January 18, 2003 Shooting Scripts. An all-day session where the three 5-minute member-written filmed screenplays were edited. About fifty people attended. At Applied Art and Technology.
February 26, 2003 Monologue Workshop. Kay Rhodes led readings of member-written monologues. At the Urbandale Library.

March 1, 2003 Shooting Scripts. Screening of the three 5-minute films produced during the December and January workshops. At the Vaudeville Mews
April 19, 2003 First Ten Minutes Workshop. As part of the IMPA annual meeting and awards day. Four scripts were read: The Red Marble by Andy Anderson, The Bombshell Painter by Brad Hansen, Done Deal by Anita Larsen, and Smart Girl by Pat Boddy and Dave DeBord. Over twenty people attended the workshop at the downtown Des Moines Savery Hotel.
May 5, 2003 Inaugural Meeting: “All About Me.” Workshop and script readings. Meetings held once or twice monthly thereafter.
June 10, 2003 Annual Meeting and Social. After food and conversation President Dave DeBord reviewed the activities of the previous year. Members then elected the new Board: Kay Rhoads-President, Lorenzo Sandoval-Vice President, Steve Hakeman-Treasurer, Barbara Alvord-Secretary, Joanna Louise Johnson-Board Member, Shirley Long-Membership Director, Sean Gannon-Newsletter Chair, and Dave DeBord-Past President. New President Kay Rhoads then gave a preview of the activities for the coming year. At Dave DeBord's house.
July 28, 2003 Adaptation Workshop. Members were asked to create an adaptation of a short story. At the Urbandale Library.
October 19, 2003 “Rosemary's Baby” special screening co-presented with IMPA. At the Fleur Theater
