April 3, 1999 Editing Workshop. From 8mm to 35: The Power of Editing with Steve Stein, Iowa native. Presentation of the movie Pi, presentation of the Stein’s Pi spoof Percent, presentation of Ouvre la Fenetre, his satire on French film noir, and discussion on how Stein wrote, produced, directed and edited both projects. Co-sponsored by IMPA. At Drake University.

September 18, 1999 Three New Films & Ron Tregenza. An evening featuring three films: Woe is Me (Helas Pour Moi) by Jean Luc Godard, The Cow (Krava) by Karel Kachyna, and Inside/Out written and directed by Rob Tregenza and an official 1997 Cannes selection. Rob Tregenza led a discussion following the films. Jointly sponsored by ISA and IMPA at the Springwood Theatres south of Ankeny.
